Moana is an upcoming live-action musical adventure from Disney, based on the 2016 animated hit and serving as the third film in the Moana franchise. The movie is directed by Thomas Kail in his feature film debut, with a screenplay by Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller. Producers include Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, Beau Flynn, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Johnson returns as Maui, while Catherine Laga'aia makes her film debut in the title role of Moana.
